El Arco, Guatemala
El Arco is perhaps our most unique (and delicious) coffee, coming from the Antigua region of Guatemala. Its uniqueness is found in the size of the beans — which is quite small. That’s because El Arco is a peaberry coffee, or as we like to call it, peebies. Peaberry beans are those that don’t quite meet the requirements for certain coffee preparations and are often filtered out before roasting. Peebies are typically sweeter and more flavorful than typical beans, and comprise about 5% of the world’s coffee beans.
El Arco is entirely composed of peaberries collected from multiple farms in the Antigua region, and the result is divine. Brilliantly bright stonefruit notes are followed by rich and dark chocolate and nougat. El Arco is fantastic prepared using any method, but we particularly love this coffee on cold brew.
